What rental periods are available?

Rental periods can vary from short-term (daily or weekly) to medium-term (monthly) and long-term (several months to years). We also offer flexible or custom rental terms.

How much does it cost to hire plant equipment?

Costs vary based on the type of equipment, rental duration, location and additional services (like delivery, maintenance, and insurance). It’s best to request a quote from us and explain your requirements.

What is included in the rental price?

The rental price includes the item you are looking to rent. Fuel for your plant hire and transport to your desired location are additional costs.

Do I need insurance for hired equipment and do you provide it?

Yes, insurance is required for hired equipment. We can provide insurance for an additional cost, which will be discussed prior to your hire.

What if the equipment breaks down?

If your equipment breaks down, we will send a fitter onsite free of charge to repair or replace your equipment. In the unfortunate event that the equipment is damaged during your hire, the associated costs will be discussed.

How do I arrange for delivery or pickup?

You can arrange for delivery or pickup by contacting us via phone or email.

Can I extend the rental period?

Yes, you can extend your rental period at any time. Please give us 24 hours’ notice to arrange the extension.

Is operator training provided?

A small instruction leaflet is attached to most tools. With the larger machinery a verbal guide on delivery is provided on request.

What happens if I return the equipment late?

If you return the equipment late, additional fees will apply. If you wish to extend your hire, please contact our team via email or phone.

Can I hire equipment on weekends or holidays?

Absolutely! Weekend hire is very popular and we are open to accommodate rentals on weekends and holidays.

What do I do if I no longer need the equipment before the rental period ends?

If you no longer need the equipment before the rental period ends, please speak to our team to discuss an early return.

What do you require to open up an account with Hire Depot?

To open an account with Hire Depot, you need to provide a copy of your plant insurance policy, ID and UK bank details. There are great benefits with an account, including 30-day payment terms and no deposit required!
